Jowl Of The Day

Since this weekend's announcement that Rosie O'Donnell would be joining the view in September to replace the departing Meredith Viera, rumors have been swirling that Star Jones Reynolds is furious and there are gonna be fireworks from the first day Rosie sits down with them. It's also been rumored that Star may leave before September since her contract is up soon and she refuses to share the stage with the lefty lesbian. Barbara Walters (who supposedly hates Star - along with every other reasonable human being in the world) has even hinted that it's up to Star to stay and she isn't going to make any grand gestures to keep her. This may be evidenced in the fact that creator/lead hostess Barbara asked Rosie to join them in the first place since she knew Star would not be happy about it.

Rosie has filled in on the show before and everything was fine, but recently, Rosie has been making statements in interviews about the manner in which Star has lost all her massive weight. Star has claimed it is through eating right and exercise. Those of us with half an ounce of brain matter know that it's because of a gastic bypass surgery. I absolutely know... because I've had one myself and lost almost 200 lbs. in 7 months, similar to Star. She's lost well over a hundred lbs. in about a year and that just doesn't happen without surgical help or extreme and fatal disease. So unless she has cancer or AIDS, she's had weight loss surgery and Rosie has not been afraid to say it... and multiple times. So this has pissed off Star and now she may leave. Well boo fucking hoo!

Sorry, I'm not one to make fun of other people's weight issues since I've had my own serious problems with the bulge. However, someone who is so radically dishonest and wants to lie about the way she lost such drastic weight, deserves as much ridicule that you can throw at her. Basically she's lying to other severely obese people and saying, you can lose the weight quickly and easily just like she did through diet and excercise. Well, bullshit! And the worst part is that she is making money off of those lies since she basically says it in her recently published book. It also doesn't help her reputation that she is a huge fur lover and likes to flaunt it, but I digress. So Star is a hypocrite and will hopefully be leaving the show soon. Or, maybe it would be more fun to have her stay so that her and Rosie can get into it and end up having a knock down, drag out on the show. That would be a beautiful end to this whole story... and my money would be on the dyke with the new job.

So, for her hypocrisy, lies and the fact that she actually looked better as a zaftig diva than as the drag queen wannabe she's become, Star Jones Reynolds is our Jowl Of The Week.
